Glock Saint Verso
Overview
Learn how to use one of the strongest characters in Expedition 33 with the Verso Glock Saint Build. Our guide on Verso will show you the best recommendations for weapons, luminas, skills and combos. We hope you enjoy this build on your journey to defeat the Paintress. Glock Saint Verso will require a bit of lumina investment but by the end of the game he will become a machine gun wielding god of destruction raining down shots on all of your enemies before they even get the opportunity to react.
Perfection
Verso uses Perfection ranks to gain power: he starts each battle at D rank and climbs toward S rank with each hit he lands. Taking damage will drop his rank, so the plan is to get in as many hits as possible and dodge and parry attacks to retain the perfection bonus. Verso’s abilities will each have a bonus attached to them for being at a specific rank, most of which are extremely powerful added effects. Verso rewards the most skilled players with more damage. Each rank has added damage as so.
- D: 0%
- C: +25% damage
- B: +50% damage
- A: +100% damage
- S: +200% damage
Spam Free Aim shots, basic attacks, extra turns, and multi-hit abilities to climb up to and stay at S rank. Verso is best used by highly aggressive and confident players as a glass cannon that can eliminate multiple enemies instantly.

Act 1 & 2
Verso feels a little awkward until late Act 2. He needs a little more lumina investment then the other characters to really get going so if you want to use him early be prepared to funnel a bunch of lumina into him at the expense of your other characters. When used with a well built Lune or Sciel they can often end fights before he is even capable of reaching his higher ranks which he needs to really feel powerful and the act 3 damage cap can often mitigate the entire reason to play him which is doing a lot of damage. With that being said he can absolutely start hard carrying fights near the end of act 2 and beyond once he gets rolling. Here are the skills I recommend early on to get him going.
- Paradigm Shift is a low damage, high AP refund. Triple-hit at C helps build Perfection early; use it as your springboard to fuel real damage.
- Follow Up is the signature nuke ability for this build. It scales with the number of Free Aim shots fired beforehand and costs only 2 AP at S rank. Once your Verso is online he will be capable of firing over twenty shots without stopping which will easily reach the damage cap of this ability. With this setup it delivers some of the highest single-target bursts in the game.
- Blitz is cheap, grants an extra turn, and has a tiny execute. With only one hit it does have poor perfection gain, but the extra action is valuable early for “free” damage and executes.
- Perfect Break brings the ladder. At B rank, hitting a breakable target jumps you straight up to S rank allowing Verso to ramp up his damage much more quickly.
- End Bringer is a whopping six hits and if the target is stunned, it may as well just be an execute with the added damage it provides. Later on you’ll pair this with Phantom Stars for guaranteed kills.Steeled Strike is a very expensive, two-turn charge, that does an incredibly high 13 hits. In Act 2 you will have to find safe openings to use this but once you have extra turns and some support, it becomes a free delete button.
The early plan is about ramping up your rank as fast as possible, more rank = more damage: Use free aim and basics to reach C quickly. Paradigm Shift for the AP and to push into B rank. From there, you will have some decisions depending on how the fight is going. Ideally here is where we would use Perfect Break to hop to S rank immediately and stun an enemy. However if this option is not available then some of the other options are Blitz for some added chip damage and/or the execute or follow up for big single target damage if you have enough AP to make it worth it. Using a Support Sciel build will really smooth this build out and give Verso the turns and AP he needs to really get going.

Attributes
As the carry of the team Agility is the best, it scales with your weapon of choice and being able to go first as the glass cannon will allow you to kill everything before they can move. For your second attribute you can use Luck when using Chevalam or Defense when using Contorso. Lastly go with Might to top off your damage.

The Chosen Path |
Weapons Overview
Early game two of the best choices are Lanceram, this will start you at rank C and won’t drop below; which is great both to ramp up slightly faster and good if you’re struggling to maintain rank. The second is the better choice Dualiso, Dualiso buffs your basic attacks and grants an extra turn, allowing you to chain together more attacks in quick succession for fast rank build-up.
Contorso is the best weapon for this build. It has Agility scaling which allows Verso to move first in fights, 100% crit chance, lightning procs, and fast path to S rank. Chevalam is another great option if you just want to use something out of the box that does all of the work for you it starts at S, adds more damage, has Agility + Luck scaling, and Rush. It’s the old reliable weapon choice for Verso, you can pretty much just use this with Phantom Stars at the beginning of every fight to beat the game with your eyes closed.
Act 3 Luminas

Pictos Overview
For Pictos use Cheater, Energy Master and Roulette. These will give you full critical chance and save you a bunch on Lumina cost.
How to Play
Everything will change in act 3 once you’re easily able to achieve the S rank from the beginning of the encounter: Replace Paradigm Shift for Phantom Stars which provides massive AoE, excellent break damage and all at the lowly cost of 5 AP at S rank, also providing us a perfect setup for End Bringer. Cut out Blitz, the extra turns become redundant once you have Cheater and multi-turn lines online. You can use the slot flexibly; Speed Burst is a good safety valve if your Verso ever dies and respawns at D rank.
With multiple actions per round, you can choose your win condition every turn: Follow Up is your biggest single-target damage button (with Free Aim stacks). Phantom Stars becomes the main event, starting off with two of these back to back will almost always stun all enemies and deal massive damage. End Bringer can be used after Phantom Stars or any stun for guaranteed kills and lastly Steeled Strike is a rock-solid 13-hit closer when you want to finish fights with some anime protagonist flair. Your going to want to ideally play Verso like a machine gun, Free Aim constantly to mark, burn, break, and generate AP, then cash out your free aim stacks with a huge Follow Up or Phantom Stars for large AoE damage.
Sciel is the absolute best partner for any hyper carry character. Fortune’s Fury and Intervention hand Verso extra turns and double damage. That’s enough to end fights in a single rotation, she can also help provide Verso with some much needed AP. Lune and Monoco are also excellent options with break-heavy setups. Verso doesn’t necessarily really need them, but these characters can combine for nearly permanent breaks.
